How China cargo cost is calculated
The rate depends on the product category and the shipment's density — weight divided by volume (kg/m³). Light but bulky cargo is cheaper to bill by cubic metre, dense cargo by kilogram. The calculator takes the tariff grid for your category and density range and estimates an all-in rate in $/kg.
Density example. A 100 kg shipment of 0.5 m³ has a density of 200 kg/m³ — dense cargo. The same 100 kg in 1.2 m³ gives about 83 kg/m³ — light bulky cargo, billed by volume. That is why compressing clothing and textiles matters: you pay for the space actually used in the truck.
How to read the result. The calculator shows an estimate status. “Preliminary rate” — there is enough data for the category. “Mixed cargo class” — a 15% margin is included. “Estimate with extra margin” — there is little data for this category and density, a 25% margin is included and the manager will confirm the rate. For batteries and accumulators no price is shown: the rate is confirmed by a manager. It is a guide, not an offer: the manager fixes the final rate before dispatch.
Only surcharges are added to the base rate: +50 $ per 1 m³ when the shipment contains batteries (Li-ion) or branded goods and brand copies. Tick the box in the calculator and the surcharge is included instantly.

What we ship
The category selects the tariff grid: rates for clothing, shoes, bags, home textiles, electronics and other groups differ because density and billing method differ. Choose the category in the calculator; if you are not sure, pick “Unknown category / mixed shipment” — the estimate then carries an extra margin.

How to pack cargo so it clears the border smoothly
The main rule: one carton — one type of goods. Do not mix categories in one package; it keeps receiving and clearance simple.
Ask the supplier to write the marking code clearly in black marker on the side of every carton and to include a packing list. Without a code, cargo is hard to identify at the Tashkent warehouse.

Carton 1 — only towels, carton 2 — only faucets. Every package carries the marking code.
✕ Avoid this
Clothing, cosmetics and metal in one carton: mixed packages delay receiving and clearance.

Select the supplier's city to get a ready message in Chinese. Copy it and send it to the factory or your 1688 / Taobao manager: the goods will travel to our warehouse. The manager issues the receiving address and marking code — message them on Telegram.

The manager issues a personal code for your cartons: tell them on Telegram which city the supplier ships from. Without marking, cargo is hard to identify at the warehouse.
From the factory in China to fulfillment in Tashkent
UpakFF cargo does not stop at the border: cargo is received straight into the fulfillment warehouse. There we count and check the goods, apply labels and marking (including Asl Belgisi), pack them and ship FBO supplies or pick FBS orders.

Know before you order
Agree on documents, insurance, liability for the cargo and product restrictions with the manager before shipping. If your business needs closing documents or customs declarations, say so in your first message — it determines the shipping scheme.
China cargo FAQ
Why does cargo cost depend on both weight and volume?
The rate depends on density (weight ÷ volume). Light bulky cargo is billed by cubic metre, dense cargo by kilogram: the larger of the two values is charged. The calculator chooses automatically and shows the density.
What is the minimum shipment for cargo from China?
A standard insured shipment starts at 10 kg and 0.1 m³. Shipments of 5–10 kg are accepted without insurance: no compensation is paid for loss. Shipments under 5 kg are not accepted — consolidate orders at the supplier.
When does the +50 $ per 1 m³ surcharge apply?
When the shipment contains batteries (Li-ion) or branded goods and copies of well-known brands. Tick the box in the calculator and the surcharge is added automatically.
How do I give the China warehouse address to my supplier?
Select the city in the “Supplier address” block and copy the ready Chinese text. The manager provides the receiving address and marking code — message them on Telegram, it takes a minute.
Can the cargo go straight to fulfillment?
Yes. After arrival the cargo is received at our Tashkent warehouse, followed by storage, packing, labeling and shipping to Uzum, Wildberries, Ozon and Yandex Market.
Do I have to buy the goods through you?
Please clarify with the manager before ordering: tell them where you buy (1688, Taobao, a factory directly) and they will explain the scheme.
How do I pack goods to make delivery cheaper?
Ask the supplier to compress textiles and soft goods or vacuum-pack them, avoid extra packaging and never mix product types in one carton.
Do you work with individuals and sole proprietors?
Please check the terms for individuals, sole proprietors and companies with the manager before shipping — tell them which marketplaces you sell on.
How do I get a price if I don't know the volume?
Switch the calculator to “Calculate from boxes”, enter the dimensions and number of cartons — the volume is calculated automatically. Or send the manager a photo and dimensions.
Can cargo be delivered straight to fulfillment for Uzum and Wildberries?
Yes. This is the main scenario: cargo goes to the UpakFF fulfillment warehouse, then the goods are prepared and shipped to the marketplace.
